Wine For Art is an annual event that raises money for art scholarships for local high school students.

The event features wine tasting and purchasing, hors d'oeuvres and desserts, and silent-auction gift baskets. Its location at the Oceanside Museum of Art gives attendees the chance to see the exhibit on display at the time of the event. The exhibit at the 2009 event will be "Fabric of Survival: The Art of Esther Nisenthal Krinitz." Esther Nisenthal Krinitz, a Jewish teen in rural Poland, survived World War II by pretending to be a Catholic. After the war, she came to America and continued the sewing and embroidery skills she learned as a child. At age 50, she decided to tell her life story in cloth, and it is these panels that make up the exhibit.
